Okay so I managed to receive my new laptop however only to be somewhat disappointed with a stuck pixel right smack dab in the middle of my screen. I've tried flashing colors and all sorts of software however it remains. My only option is to either send the machine back which I don't want, or have it somehow fixed.
Anyone else have this experience with their machine? Or any solution that I might not have considered?

Bad times
Maybe you could get a technician to come and replace the screen? I dont know what the technicians limits are tho. -
Maybe its just dust behind the plastic screen?
I had the same but after i removed the plastic protection, cleaned it and problem solved -

I tried everything, I guess I will just have to call Dell and get it sent back. I just hope I could get it back before Diablo 3 comes out.

Just call dell , they will sent you a replacement , then only you sent back current machine , they will provide shipping label to ship back with no charges . That's how dell works with new system replacement. That's mean you don't have to worry about anything. <3 dell/alienware.

I am on the phone with them right now, and the rep offered me a $100 discount if I opt for the technician to come fix the machine. I wonder if I should go for it, because I don't want to wait for the return to process and wait again for the new system to get here.

Have you tried tapping/pressing the stuck pixel gently with a q-tip aka cotton bub on a stick, I sometime works.

Yea sadly it doesn't help for the sub-woofer issue.
*never mind, see other post. -

If you are from US/Canada , replacement is the best way. No point you want a tech to touch your new machine , unless you are really confident with that person/tech.
The pervious m14x having issue with subwoofer/bass too , @Chainspell , try check your mic too , mic also a common defective issue. -
I had the same problem with the screen, didn't want to wait for 2 weeks for a replacement (just got the thing) tech came out the next day and replaced the screen, has been working fine ever since (well heat issues but meh)

Why are you saying "Alienware just isn't for me"? This stuff happens with every single laptop manufacturer. Every company has their "lemons" - it's a matter of how the said company handles these "lemons" which is important.
Just be happy that a technician can meet you in 1-2 days rather than having to deal with repair facilities (ASUS; Sager; MSI) and wait up to 6 weeks to get your machine back. Alienware is the best you'll get - period. And one more thing - I've never, ever seen any other company offer customers money to keep their system other than AW/Dell.

I'm sorry to hear about your problems mate...
But in my opinion...
After dropping that amount of dough... I would definitively go with the replacement. Repairs on a brand new laptop... Nah! I'm super anxious for D3 too but... you have to remember may 15 will come and pass... But your M14x will still be the same... Don't settle for a broken system just 'cause of D3... Believe me, you will regret if afterward.
I bought an R1 on April 2... just to realize the R2 had come out days after I made my purchase. Having the R1 box delivered and sending it back w/o even opening it... Was probably one of the hardests things Ive done (Lol). But for doing so... I now have my awesome R2... and couldnt be happier...
Always remember... Good things happen for those who wait...Just dont let this little bump, discourage you from owning this great piece of hardware!
