I've put off getting a laptop cooler, mainly due to the fact that I didn't think it would work. But I figured why not at least try it and if it doesnt work I'd return it. So i bought the targus chill mat, and it is amazing. My m14x, after gaming for 2 hours, would originally be hot on the bottom, not safe to touch, and temps would soar. But now, the laptop is slightly warm, cpu/gpu temps are a 5-10 degrees lower which is great, but that's not as important to me as the chassis itself, components can take the heat I guess. Anyway, im sure most coolers would do the job, but for anyone contemplating a cooler, it would save your m14x from itself, plus you can game on your lap finally.
