Recently, I've been having trouble with overheating on my laptop, I own an M14x R1, and I didn't seem to find a solution for it as repasting wasn't an option, and I've cleaned the fans several times. But lately I was desperate to try and solve this issue, so I removed the optical drive and the ram "cage", temps went down from a 95-100 average on load to 75 max for the gpu, and 80 max for the cpu. And from 70 idle for both to 40 idle for the gpu and 45-50 for the cpu. But I have finally found some thermal paste here in Egypt, that's from an unknown taiwanese brand called ZP don't think anyone knows it. Anyway, would this paste be any good? It's "specs" are:
Thermal Conductivity: >1.22W/m.k
Thermal Resistance: <0.201°C-in²/w
High thermal conductivity, low bleed, stable
And they market it as a heatsink compound. It's in the form of a plastic syringe with a white paste in it, that looks like acrylic glue.

CptXabaras Overclocked, Overvolted, Liquid Cooled
Hi Youssef
Try to compare the thermal characteristics of that past with others "know" brands to predict how it will behave.
That being said, I've seen test were the testers applied from thermal paste down to tooth paste, nails paint.... Etc.
Is more important the correct application, less is more

I would recommend you to use Arctic Silver

Before I try anything new I always look up reviews on the internet; be this a new computer, graphics card, car or phone.
Luis provided an excellent answer. Artic silver has been around for years and is a great; easy to use thermal paste which provides excellent results.
Other people recommend IC diamond, which is good but very difficult to apply AND remove. It also scratches the die on cpus and gpus very easily with the force of being applied as well as removal which is why I steer clear of it
The decision is ultimately yours; but my advice would be to stick with well known brands with good results. Thermal paste is a frustrating and lengthy process the last thing you would want is negative results. -
When I was saying that I finally found some thermal paste here, it means that I didn't have any other choice, I would have chosen IC Diamond If I could find it, or any known brand for that matter. And of course I do look for reviews when I buy something, I just didn't have any choice here. I was asking for info on how well this thermal paste would perform not how well the others do... But anyway thanks for your replies.
