It's getting time to get a new travel laptop for work. I have used my M11x and CF-19 for years but for some slightly newer games I will need more in the gpu department. I have been thinking of a 14 with 750m. How good has your luck been on this model.
I am sure when the M11x retires it will spend it days playing minecraft with the kids. lol.

I believe that the Alienware 14 is great model, it has the perfect size screen (I like it more than 17" and just about the same as 15"). But, it depends on the games that you plan to play. Are the game's requirements too high? -
My AW14 750m 2GB model works still fine with some settings toned down for newer games. But it has bad battery life on Gaming.(Battery health warnings after 1.5 years usage) But you are looking for GPU performance while moving, you might want to check on AW13.

I've downgrade from alienware 15 to AW14 because I don't gaming that much, I'm happy with the laptop 1080p screen and able to handle most games.
Compare w/ Alienware 15
- Lighting effect on the left , right & bottom of the fan (Alienware 15 doesn't have it , alienware m11x,r1,r2,r3 has it)
- No left shortcut key for me is a pro, because I accidental pressed short cut keys as ctrl/esc, shortcut keys basically useless for me, I already have macro on my mouse.
- Additional HDD Slot but slightly heavier,I've removed DVD/BRAY Caddy and slot in another 2.5" 1TB HDD as storage also mSata. (Alienware 15 come with x 2 M.2 slot & 1 2.5" slot but of course AW15 PCie SSD is faster.)
Compare w/ Alienware 13
- AW13 is lack of lighting physically (this really bother me, maybe not you)
- AW13 is lighter & more powerful gpu.
- AW13 x1 SSD or x 2 M.2 SSD slot.
- Supported Amplifier
So far I'm happy with my Alienware 14.

Thank you for your replies. The reason I have kept my M11x R1 so long is because it just the right size for travel and the temps have never been problem even when overclocked. To get more life out of it I dropped a 160gb x25 intel SSD and in the WWAN slot have a dual micro SD card slot for extra storage. Since I would be upgrading the 335 to 750 I would see that a a very large jump.

If you don't need the dvd drive and are just looking at an upgrade on your 11x i'd be looking at the 13 to be totally honest - it's got a far more powerful graphics card.
