I recently purchased the intel 6250 wireless mini-adapter to swap out for my intel 1000 wireless card that i had on my m14x but after i try swapping it out, i get an error saying "the device cannot start". This happens even after i tried redownloading and reinstalling both the intel drivers and the m14x intel 6250 drivers. what could be the reason for this? The drivers install through perfectly fine and are able to pick up the wimax part of the card though. I also took the liberty of purchasing another intel 6250 chip and they BOTH give me the same thing. Has anyone who upgraded experienced this problem? If anyone has any insight please feel free!

If you don't see it in the device manager or won't appear when windows tries to automatically download drivers for it, you could have a dead card.

The chip gets picked up right away when i turn my computer on. when i refresh device manager after uninstalling the card and the drivers it would instantly pop back up. All the drivers are correctly installed but upon looking at the chip in device manager, it would say it cannot start. Could it be possible that BOTH the chips are defective?
For those who need more information here are the specs for both chips:
    Model: 622ANXHMW
    FCC: ID: PD9622ANXHU

Thanks to everyone who has helped me out!

Where did you buy your chip? And how did the process go for you?
