So recently I bought a M14x and i had the setting in the Alien Touch of the command center to disable touch pad if external usb mouse is attached. I have had no problems with the laptop whatsoever until now. My mouse went dead and i tried unplugging the usb, but the touch pad didn't re-enable. I've tried updating the driver and restarting without the mouse but still no luck. But if i plug the usb in, it will give me the notification saying that it was recognized and the pad has been disabled even though it wasn't working to begin with. Could this setting have broken the pad maybe? If not, has anyone else experienced this issue and know how to fix it, or should i call and get dell to come fix it? Also it isn't the pad only, the left and right click buttons below it will not work either.

have you tried clicking Fn + T-pad together on your keyboard? If the lights light up on your touchpad it should work :)
