    Hello All!
I've been having this issue while on battery, I basically will be sitting on the couch or wherever and have just the notebook itself and my mouse w/ pad. I can game no problem what so ever, everything works, fast, no throttles, no issues. Same with plugged into the AC adapter.

Now the issue rolls in, after about 45Minutes ~ 1Hour later, all of the sudden out of the blue the screen goes about ~4 levels down in brightness, and my mouse stops working. Not only in the USB port I was using, but all of them. I tried to plug it into all three ports, and it doesn't even light up as to it's getting power. (I tried 3 different mice as i thought it was causing a surge) All my other mice do the same thing.

Performance goes from what was previously 100% before, to probably ~60-70% of what it originally was.
This has happened under multiple games as well. I checked CPU-Z and the CPU will be permanently limited to 800MHz until the system is rebooted. It will not change from the 800Mhz until a reboot is done. The system becomes extremely slow (Not sure if it's the CPU speed, or other things are effected as well), even opening chrome from this point will take ~45 Seconds when it normally loads in 3-4 Seconds.

Another thing I found interesting is it's not like the battery is about to die at say ~15%, the battery is typically at around ~60% when this whole tobakle seems to happen. All of the power options are set to high performance, both in windows and in the NVCP.

Now, I've NEVER had any issue what so ever with the power cable plugged in. Or any other issue like this.

    Specs:
    AW 14 (Aug 2014)
    Intel Core i5 4200M @ 2.5Ghz
    Nvidia GT750M +135 Core +200 Mem
    WD Black 750GB 7200RPM
    8GB DDR3 1600Mhz
Latest A09 Bios, and drivers for the rest are latest.

    Any help is welcomed, thanks.

    ***EDIT
I ran a test solely to try some new remedies. This even happens EXACTLY around 55% Battery life.
Plugging back in the AC Adapter after this even happens, completely remedies the entire situation, all clocks go back to what they where, and ports start working.

I also just checked the even log, and windows does detect this issue. It does appear related to the CPU.
"The speed of processor 3 in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 48 seconds since the last report."

I'm going to be monitoring system temps and things to see if there is any correlation. I could probably disable speedstep and see if that works, which i'll try later.

*****After another test, Temps on both the GPU and CPU are sub 75c max, so we can rule out temps 100%.

Now how the hell do I fix this?

When was the last time you calibrated battery? The reason I'm asking is because you said you're playing games on a battery and if I was playing intensive games on battery (non Alienware laptop, but still), I don't think the laptop would last much past 45 min. If you do some simple math, CPU could use 30W or more, GPU 35-40, maybe more if overclocked, add another 10-15 w for screen, hard drive and usb and you got 75-85w.
Your battery was 68Whr when new, but now it may have 60 - 50Whr due to wear and if you use those numbers, after 45 min your battery would be dying, instead of having 60% left as it shows. My 2yr old Dell Latitude shows 120% fully charged, which can't be correct(I never calibrated my battery), so I know for the fact the battery estimate could be wrong, Maybe it's wrong in your case and system senses that from available voltage and throttles you down, since your battery in reality is bellow 15%.

Thanks for the post, I appreciate it. But, I don't think this would be the case. I can read the Amperage through HWmonitor and it is indeed pretty accurate as to the levels windows is giving me. Not to mention, These Lithium Polymer batteries all have dedicated voltage/amperage circuitry that reports the accurate values to the Power Circuitry in the motherboard.

Gaming on battery might cause this after a certain period of time. The battery is unable to provide the power that the machine requires in order to maintain its full capabilities while gaming. It disables certain things to keep on running. You can try throttlestop or changing the power settings in the command center and Windows. However, you might still need to plug the machine to the power for your long gaming sessions. We do not recommend to game on battery.
