Anyone else getting video tearing at the top of the screen when watching videos? I set the refresh rate to 60Hz and it still tears at the top of the screen mostly when I'm watching videos on the internet with fast movement.

Try enforcing VSYNC with your browser.

    what browser are you using?

NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D Settings -> Program Settings -> [Your broswer] -> Vertical Sync -> Force On.

sounds like a software problem, not a hardware issue.

Instead of forcing it on for your browser, try forcing Vsync under the global setting. Video playback using a plugin (like Flash) may not be affected by settings for the browser.

AFAIK, plug-ins are treated as part of the app that calls them, but that's a good point. The reason I didn't suggest globally applying it, is the vsync in games that get consistantly less than 60FPS can have horrible results. (Which given that this is the M14x we're talking about, would be most games)

I'm not sure how it does it. I accidentally left FRAPS running when I went to watch a video online, and the FPS count showed up in the top left of the embedded video. That gave me the idea, but I have no idea if Nvidia treats them separately or not. However, global vsync would be a pain to enable and disable when switching between games and videos. Plus, this does sound like a hardware problem that wouldn't be fixed by particular settings.
