Just me showing a new game on the m14x. Gets about 60fps, donno if you can really read it in the vid.

Dont hate on my playing skill, I was holding my phone and trying to play with the touchpad since my mouse was upstairs and I am laaaaaaaazy.

Gameplay settings at the end of the vid.

Hmm. I have a better CPU and more ram thank you and it runs like a turd.

On the latest drivers from laptopvideo2go.

What settings are you on? I have the latest updated Steam version.

280.26 drivers. My video settings are at the end of the video. I also had to manually whitelist the game to use the NVidia GPU as by default it runs on the Intel GPU.

There was a day one patch to fix DLC etc, but apparently brought about a whole heap of new issues.

I'll reinstall again tonight and see if I can get it going, it was a slideshow yesterday.

Hmm, yea mines run fine. I got it through steam so I guess it automatically applied the patch.

Manually whitelisting works as you mentioned it needs, now it runs great, thanks.

I guess nVidia haven't added a game profile for Dead Island yet. It is supposed to be updated automatically with the new drivers (including 280.26).

Are you running on stock GPU clocks?

I live in Europe, not released yet here.

Other notebook sites list the m14x running this game at 60-90fps with 72-74 being the avg recorded with fraps. This is at maximum settings (in game menu) and the gpu speed at 750/900. So the m14x should run the game fine.

    At what resolution?
I'm running mine at 1600x900 max settings and I get 55-60fps average.

Running overclocked at 770/1170. Max temp 78celsius.
    Very pleased with the performance!

I am not sure what is wrong, but my performance is awful. I white listed it to only use the nvidia gpu, and it made no difference at all. I am on the same drivers as you I think, so I cannot understand what is wrong.

I have no issues running this on the latest dell drivers. Just need to change a few colour settings as screen looks really washed out compared to my monitor.....................looks a bit cack.
