    Hi guys,

I have the 1600x900 screen. I want to play some games at a lower resolution (1280x720)...but when I select it, it plays in a smaller window inside the screen. I want the image to be stretched to fit the entire screen.

I know normally there should be an option to scale it. But I don't seem to be able to find it. Can anyone give me specific directions for the M14x to scale lower resolution games to fit entire screen?

basically, when i open nvidia control panel, there is no option to scale image...anyone know why?

I think the problem might be that the display is treated as a CRT and not as an lcd.

Is there a way for nvidia to recognize the display as an LCD? is there a driver I can download for the screen?

Shouldn't there be an option in the game itself to switch between full screen and windowed mode?

Do you mean it plays in a window or it has black bars around it?

In the Nvida control panel go to { change resoulution } change it to the size that you want. Then go to { adjust desktop size and position} select use Nvida scaleing and then click apply at the bottom of screen.

Maybe the option is only available with the new drivers, I don't have my m14x yet so I can't say but I don't it's with the new drivers if you don't see the option with the stock drivers.

Sorry forgot that yours maybe a little diffrent, I get this menu when I use the Nvida video card on my M11xR1 which does not use Optimus switching. But still look for "scaleing maintan aspect ratio".

Also, different resolutions are for different aspect ratios... You want to choose one that is the same aspect ratio
