Well Ill have both side by side at work. From my research the 4700QM is a tad faster then my 2860QM and the gtx 765 should blow my firepro 5950 away. Im pretty sure this is an all around upgrade and the m4600 will be connected to several monitors and grow roots in my office while the alienware 14 will be my on the go rig.

Yep this will be my 3rd alienware. Had a rough start in the AW community with my m17x r2 but the m11x r1 and this should cement me here. Still a business class fanatic thouhg just with an alienware problem!
EDIT: Oh I ordered last week and I got it yesterday! Fastest custom configured laptop I have ever gotten. Color me impressed!reborn2003 and pathfindercod like this. -
So I have had the Alienware 14 for a few days now and so far I really do like this laptop. I had a rough start when I tried to run the factory OS setup, but a clean format and wow! Snapped some shots in comparison to my m4600:
Here is after an all day work + gaming non stop temp range:

Noticeable but not bad.
Im noticing after several hours of gaming that the wifi is lagging/spikes in game. Elsewhere it seems fine. At this point Im thinking its something with the card as I have tried many drivers and even a reformat. -
What kind of temps are too high?

Does GPU throttle upon reaching 67C?
-
Well as you can see by the temperatures I posted it peaked at 65C. The performance of the laptop was steady from bootup to shutdown minus the wifi performance. The last hour or so the latency in game got pretty high and would spike to 1.5-3k randomly.

Thanks. I just thought that throttling may actually be a reason why temperature stays just under 67C. -
Well if and when my m4600 becomes your m4600 you can change that...CptXabaras likes this.

The Lenovo drivers fixed it for me.

Well as of late I have not had the problem despite having done nothing to remedy it after my initial frustration. If I see this problem arise again ill surely try your drivers.
Well Alienware did it!
