    What is a good HDD for M14x?

    My stock 500gb broke. I do not have enough money for an SSD, so what good HDD is there to fit the m14x? 500-750GB, 7,200RPM please :) a good hard drive that has good quality and performs well! Thanks!

    Seagate Momentus XT 500gig hands down IMO. 4 gigs of SSD to cache files and 32 megs cache on the HDD itself. It loads apps and games you play a lot almost as fast as a full blown SSD for about $100.

    what size hdd fits the m14x? does 2.5" fit?

    Yep just a normal size notebook drive. The slot loading optical drive is a weird size though, like 9.5mm.
