I don't know why you wouldn't recommend the Intel.

Personally (and also on this site) it comes down to the Intels and the Crucials. Both are reliable and durable, with little to no issues found with OCZ, Patriot and what not.

The Intels are pricier because of the name. Either the 510 or X25 series will serve you well.

    The Crucials are great value.

    Check out the Crucial m4.

no v-chip...you are totally wrong. do a forum search. i thought about not saying anything, but half the people here are too stupid to read the numerous issue threads.

There are numerous issue threads on the Alienware M14x as well. Along with any notebook on this forum. It's a forum that contains a large amount of nitpicky computer owners.

From what I've seen, the Intels and the Crucials are the dominant recommended ssds on this site. Feel free to prove me wrong though.

    What would you recommend?

If you guys can actually argue it out on facts...this would be a great discussion for everyone planning to buy a SSD ...so ilook forward to it....btw my two cents am not sure...which series was it...i think the 310 where they had this issue if u cut down the power or thr is a power cut....the ssd tends to loose all its data ...is that true

    definitly the crucial m4
but you need to upgrade its firmware to 002 then it's perfect; low power usage and high performance.

Shouldn't, once Intel releases the new update/firmware for the 320's. See the link above. :)

So many people are acting like every Intel 320 drive gets wiped to 8mb anytime it loses power... that's not even close to the truth.
