LMFAO. As fate would have it....

So what are you guys doing? Returning it and re-ordering with the new "updated" CPU's?

    ...saying "F-it!".

Haha. this is for people that ordered in the last 21 days or so ( me included)

i got mine 2 weeks ago... doesn't bother me though. our cpu's are still fast and even the "updated" intel cpu's aren't that much of a difference in what i use my m14x daily

I don't want to burst your bubble lol, but if you return it then you can forget about getting the deal you got from the Outlet.
You can either live with the old CPU or buy a new machine for twice the price. I'm in pretty much the same boat and I'll just live with the CPU. Not much of a difference anyway.

Which costs money. I think we're talking about a free upgrade from Dell here ;)

Which would mean returning it, losing your tax money, ordering a new one and losing your deal, ect...

The base i7 is also still the same, so you also have to pay another 150$ for the actual upgrade

Considering that the GT555m is still exactly the same, I don't even see a reason for returning it just for the newer cpus. I really don't get it. Explain to me why I would send mine back and go through all that mess for absolutely nothing.

    Touche.

BTW, I didn't get mine from the outlet AND, couldn't you just ask for a replacement system, and they would have need exchange it for the same exact quote etc....

I dont think I would do it anyway. Already returned my frist one, just got this one. Between the stress of ordering it, and waiting 2 weeks, sigh, I just don't have it in me again I don' think lmfao.

Umm, why will Dell replace our systems just because something new came out? :/

Well, I'm under the 21 day policy.

I was just wondering, if Dell would honor the original quote when they "EXCHANGE" the computer, or do they have old i7 CPU's sitting around so the will end up "replacing" it with those i7's , instead of the NEW ones is my question.

Well in the UK the new CPUs aren't on the website yet but I asked in the chat and they said they could order for me, then when I asked about exchanging my faulty laptop they said no.

you're within your 21 day RETURN period. So you can return it and then repurchase.

Ivy bridge is not out yet (third generation of i7), this is just a refresh of sandy bridge.
