Does anyone know how to change the integrated gpu to my gt555 to use aero?
Because i get 5.9 rating which is stupid tbh.
-
For graphics: Desktop performance for windows aero right?
I also get a 5.9. And i just got my laptop an hour ago? So it might just be like that. =/ -
The desktop experiece subtest actually tests memory bandwidth... which the gt555m does not have much of (relative).
-
it depends when you run the test..at times i've gotten 6.9, at other times i've gotten 5.9
-
Mine has always done it automatically, I get a 7.0

If u use an external through the HDMI then the video card will be used for the WEI score.
-
-
Connect to an external via HDMI and then run HWINFO32 ....
It'll show you which one is running currently at the top right.
Also, when you are connected through HDMI, the optimus indicator (which you enable through the nvidia control panel) shows that the GPU is in use by the HDMI port. -
Connected to a 1080p monitor on my M11x through hdmi.
Jeremy is correct. Output is through integrated graphics. When the Nvidia gpu is needed, it does the grunt work, but the video feed still goes through the integrated gpu and then outputted.
I have always ran the WEI on my external monitor and it doesn't improve the pathetic 3.x score it gets for desktop performance. The gaming graphics portion scores 6.5.

im getting 6.9 for aero and its on the nvidia card
-
7.0 for desktop and gaming here.
-
I'm getting 7.0 for desktop and gaming as well.
I don't know what you guys are doing for it to be so low -
I tried setting my global graphics card setting to the Nvidia GPU, and that didn't help. I've run the test with both the factory drivers and the newest stable drivers. I haven't tried the 275 (or whatever they are) beta drivers. I have the 1.5 GB GT 555m. -
Here's a thought: Why do you care?
WEI doesn't tell you anything, except the relative performance of each of your system components, which anyone with half a brain can figure out on their own in a few seconds. Something like 3DMark is far more relavent to most people looking into an Alienware.
If you really care that much:
C:\Windows\Performance\WinSAT\DataStore. Access the most recently created XML file in there, and manually change the values to whatever you like. Done. -
Has the OP tried overclocking the CPU integrated graphic through the BIOS? maybe that will help boost up some points. -

Both my graphics and my gaming graphics are ranked 6.9. And I didn't do anything special other than maybe make sure you're running the tests plugged into AC power?
As a point of interest, my desktop with a 512MB GTS 250 scores the exact same ratings...
