Is it worth taking the risk on a certified refurb off the outlet store on a m14x?

I will be purchasing at christmas and no point in buying new in my opinion since when the new revision comes out I will just be like :( and I dont think they will be later than may.

Anyone can share there experiences with the outlet store?

oh and just in-case you were gonna say, cant I wait I will post my current laptop specs for you to laugh at.

    1.8 ghz single core processor
    8200M integrated GPU
    2gb RAM
Getting 10 fps on wow low settings is not nice, new laptop needed!

In my opinion, a factory refurbished laptop will probably spend more time under quality checking than the new models. Most of the times, they are quite a steal at the lowered prices, and will usually point out if they have minor cosmetic damage. There's nothing wrong with buying one.

Lol those laptop specs are pretty funny :D. But in all seriousness I've purchased two things from the Outlet, a M15x and my current M18x. Both had no issues what so ever and the M18x I got even had the plastic on it! Also the Dell Outlet has some of the best pricing I've seen and you don't have to wait 4 weeks for your system to be built since it's already built and ready to be shipped.

I concur with Gallardos on the outlet purchase. I also got my m14x just about a month ago from Dell. Mine actually came with one issue :p (for some reason did NOT come with the screen from the order site)

But the good thing with Alienware is that it is the TOP line of Dell models, so they will get you fix up in no time. My screen replacement was done in 2 business day. Brand new screen (and backcover as well!!) So I don't see any issue with placing order with Dell Outlet.
