As far as i know, you need to order the mobile broadband option for it.

I thought about looking into this but if you're gonna pay a mobile plan why not just get a smartphone and wifi tether it? Much easier in my opinion and no additional cellular plan

I already have a mobile sim paid for by work, so would like to be able to whack it straight in my laptop to save having the dongle hanging out the side, if its just the case of a 5520 card in the slot and some flat antenna then its wourth it for me. Theres a singaporian gamers link that doesnt work anymore for the m11x any got a link to this guide still about.

but a mifi is more expensive than this card and again requires me to carry more stuff about with me, I only have this laptop to use on the go so would love to fit this card.

Dell's driver section says DELL_WIRELESS-5620. It costs between $60-130

Mifi is cheap if you know how to buy it

Signup through quidco to claim £24
It is £15.99 a month + £49.99 upfront cost, just one month contract. On the same day you receive the parcel, ring 333 with your 3 mobile phone (or use the free payg they give you with the mifi) to give them 30 days notice to leave

    £50+16-23 = £43

AFAIK, retro fit will require you to disassemble the screen to fit extra antenna. I would rather pay for the mifi than fitting the antanna. I have replaced the screen twice already so I can imagine the hassle of breaking the screen into pieces again and again

you can do this but it doesn't work very well as the base of the laptop is shielded.. you can unhook one of the wifi antennas but you lose high speed wifi.

    mifi is better.
