    Can any one tell me that how much (maximum) fps u getting in Counter Strike Source.

    Judging from me getting 60fps in Left4Dead 2, Portal 2, and Half Life 2, M14x should also run CSS in 60fps.

    Have u tried fps_max 999 ?

    60 fps o_O !!!
    is it maximum or minimum fps u getting ?

    No I have not.

    May I ask, why are you asking? Are you getting low fps on CSS?

    EDIT- Thats the maximum I get because I am using Vsync, If I turn Vsync off, I'm sure I can get more.

    Im asking because im buying m14x in couple of days.
    So thats why could you please tell me the max fps u getting in css...

    Open game then Open console put fps_max 999 then run game or run stress test with fps_max 999

    with all on high 4x AA 8x AF without high definition range on 1600*900
    60-80 fps.

    with all on high 4x AA 8x AF without high definition range and 1280*800
    steady 100 fps

    on both settings i have max_fps 101

    the monitor on the laptop is only 60htz so it will only display 60fps on the screen. Any higher than that is pretty much just for show. ;)

    But I want 100,000,000 fps in the original Doom :)

    Sarcasm off now... spot on. Btw, sync is there to prevent that ugly thing called tearing that is painful on the eyes. Might want to give it a whirl sometime... makes everything look buttery smooth (assuming you are capping 60, and the game supports triple buffering)

    I got about 180fps on the original CS, and around 140-160fps with CS:Source, everything at its peak setting and 900p resolution. That's I use the "com_maxfps 0" which the setting will be turning off the V-Sync, since it will instruct the game to have the framerate uncapped.

    Even you can, the image quality would be torn apart, this is the reason V-Sync exist, it is to prevent the image-tearing when having framerate higher than the monitor's limit.

    try fps_max 999
    then check fps.
    because now u have locked ur fps with fps_max 101.

    What is the problem? they have ALL told you, it will run at 60FPS.

    CSS is NOT as very demanding game AT ALL. My 7 year old PC can max it @ a solid 60FPS.

    My M11x Max's CSS @ 60FPS
    The M14x max's CSS @ 60FPS
    Absolutely ANY current Alienware branded laptop of ANY kind will play CSS @ 60FPS.
