If not mistaken, the Alienware 14 is discontinued. You can pick between an Alienware 13 or Alienware 15.

Since you are used to portability the AW 13 might seem like the best option for you, however the Aw 15 is really light and might be as comfortable as the AW 13 to carry around.

I personally would wait and see if they do a Maxwell refresh on the AW13. Honestly at this point that's the ONLY thing that prevented me from getting another AW laptop. I was looking for small and up-to-date. And while they are now Broadwell CPU's, they are still using the energy guzzling Kepler chips =/

EDIT: Looks like it's running the 860M. I thought it was the 870M. The 860M came in both Kepler AND Maxwell flavors. I would prefer a 965M though but that's just me :p

i think i will get the new Aw 15. the price and the spec is worth it imo. its been 4 years now with my m11x, it has served me well and i will never sell it. currently typing with it lol. i don't need the portability anymore. done with college :p. i remember when i had the hinge issue on my m11x and posted a thread on this forum, it was you porras that replied me and sent a box to my house to get it fixed. since then i have been loyal to the brand. i hope i the good experience extends to my next purchase :D can i put an ssd for booting in the new aw15?

I don't understand why they compromise a lot on AW 13.
AW 13 itself is quite bulkier but lower spec than their competitor
and with that dimension they can even put 14" screen on it.

If you don't need the portability anymore since you are done with college, why not get a desktop and use you m11x as your mobile unit? You'll get better specs in a desktop for the price of an AW 15 right?
