this happens only in skyrim, but my temps on the GPU hit 80+ degrees, up to 85, with or without overclock, should i panic about this or only play skyrim outside in the 30 degree weather

you dont have any real problem till it start hitting mid to high 90's.

Also try a cooling pad , i have a Coolermaster U2 and my GPU never goes above 65 playing skyrim on high on an external 24" monitor :)

Maybe because of your room environment, a 30C degree weather in NZ consider to be very hot weather especially if there no wind. What driver are you? And is it just now or is it's been happen since you first play Skyrim?

And like D3athScyth3 said there's no worry anything below 90C, however as a rule of myself, I'd try to limit the temp to be 85 as the max "Safe Point" temp to prevent the sudden and the unplanned event like sudden overheat.

    Looks problematic

The Temp here in Singapore Averages ard 30 Degree C.

And my GPU rarely go beyond 70 degrees even on OC.

Btw I am on BIOS A01.

well its only skyrim and its been doing it since i got the game, well i was saying if it still gets this hot ill play outside and thats 30 degrees ferinheight, nice and cold, but even in crysis 2 overclocked my max temps are around 72, or any other game in general, its just skyrim, and sometimes a couple other games

im also on the newest beta drivers, and even when i hit these temps ive never seen a BSOD once on this laptop

I thought you were talking about Celsius, , but this is weird because I also have Skyrim and it never go any higher than my average max of 75C (167F), and this is also my average max for most games like BF3 or Crysis 2, if possible try lower your OC setting and try the game again to see if you still getting high temp.

But in spite of the OC setting you got there, it is also weird, because I use the same VBIOS Mod as you (in fact I knew that via you), and my OC Setting is not also far away from you too, so yours shouldnt be that much different, my OC Setting is 800/1600/1080.

well when i speak of my laptop its always Celsius because thats the standard but weather i use Fahrenheit

exactly my first thought would be my overclock as-well but even without it my temps hit 80, but this is not all the time tho, there are certain parts in skyrim that fry my laptop like anywhere near windhelm or any snowy regions but in riften or whiterun i get my average temps, but then in games like grid or just cause 2 i hit that 80 mark but usually idle around 75, i think it might be time to clean out the fan.

now idk if this is normal or bad but on my rear exhaust vent i can only feel air coming out of the left half of it, is this because of how the fan is places or does this sound bad?

With my overclock of 700 on the core, i get around 80. With the cooling pad it goes below 75c. I suggest you get one, can always return it if you don't see any improvement. Idk if this would help as well, but try lowering graphics detail. Probably may not help as much, but worth a try.

well try the settings i use and see if you hit my temps, i use the 4gb texture mod and the landscape texture mod and ambient occlusion, but unless your overclock is at my level it will lag horribly but im curious if my tweaks caused it
