largest discount?

What was the largest discount you guys were able to get from a rep for your m14x? I was just speaking with one that was able to get me 180 dollars off. Is that a good deal? or can i get more off? Also, he told me i would get it 3 days after i recieve my shipment as rebate type thing, have you ever heard of this or did i get scammed? Thanks guys

 

I owned a few dells before. Never has a rep told me to wait until after I receive the notebook to get the discount (or in your case a rebate).

 

Mine got me about 230$ off. So in the 200ish range. But mine came right off the bat. Never had to wait for anything

like gearsguy, every time I ordered was a straight discount off the final price before you pay.

 

Ditto, discounts are usually at the time of purchase. When I ordered there was a glitch in the system that made the customized nameplate cost $20, which I was told they could not refund until after I had received the computer. The rep actually called me after I received it to refund me the $20+tax.

If you have your rep's name/extension you can always call them.

 

I received my discount before payment.

 

I told him I could get 8gb of RAM and bluetooth in the ASUS G53 for the same price so he gave me those for free which are about 230$ together.

 

I just called to cancel and they are going to refund me 150 for keeping it. Now maybe when I get it and email my rep ill get an additional 180 like he said. That would be sweet

 

I got a 300 $ off my machine...and it was before ..i paid...my config costed me 1499....got it for 1199

 

I got $320 off but I had to purchase the 3 year spill/drop warranty (which I was going to buy anyway) and go through their 12 month 0% financing which isn't bad either. Gjoey
