Sure is, I bought a refurbished M15X i7 with 4gb ram and a smaller hard drive for about 1.1k so getting a larger HDD and 8gb ram for only a hundred dollars more is a heck of a deal.

I really wanted to get an M14x from Fry's or MicroCenter, but all of them have the 1366x768 screen. But if that's not a big deal to you, I'd get it.

Not a refurb, outlet.dell.com it'll be worth the time. I sat on the site readding the machine I've got to my cart for 2 hours before my lovely wife got up and allowed me to use her dell card for the purchase.

I was thinking about returning my G73sw-bst6 and picking this up as well.

    Thoughts?

I've heard that Dell systems sold at BestBuy are not warrantied or supported by Dell. You might want to verify whether Dell supports Alienware systems sold at BestBuy. Although I've had problems with Dell's Alienware support, it's still better than BestBuy's.

I returned my G73 and picked up a M14x at Best Buy, it was an open box so I expected something to be amiss. The Wi-Fi card was bad, called AW support, they are sending a tech to my house to replace the Wi-Fi card and the Motherboard next week not sure why the mobo but I'll take it and hopefully the tech will allow me to do a re-paste on the new board if I bribe him with doughnuts.

Picked up an m14x from Best Buy in late Dec. Last one in the store... someone had ordered it but never paid or picked it up, so it sat in the box in storage for a month. Wasn't even listed in the inventory online. Very happy. Portable, nice construction and performance. Will probably upgrade the cpu and ram in a year or two.

Believe the warranty is 1 year with Dell. Have a certificate in the box.

Congrats on the new system, and if you wanna extend or upgrade your warranty, just call up dell and they should make it happen :)
