Cooling pads don't really offer much cooling. You could get the same effect just by elevating the laptop. Unless you go for the cooling pads which are 80-90+ as some people say they do a good job. But they also weigh like 5 pounds.

As for the wireless mouse a lot of people use the razer orochi/mamba, logitech g9. I have a logitech g7 unfortunately they don't sell that anymore (i love it to death).

I have a cooler master ergostand, which is basically a giant fan on the bottom. I mainly got it for the hub it has built in and while it doesnt feed air directly into the vent of the laptop, it does cool the overall laptop by a few degrees in C.

khetic, when you say 'elevate the laptop', you mean just put a thin book under it? I'm resting mine on a 1cm thick composition book. The goal is just to provide air flow through the air intake on the lower left side, right?

When playing games I use the CoolerMaster Notepal U2. It is between $20 and $30 if I remember correctly, so it is relatively cheap and works well. I do not even use the two fans it comes with, just the metal stand to allow for air circulation. The metal itself also stays cool so that helps. It looks like it will be uncomfortable using on your lap but it actually is fine, although it clearly is better for a desk.

Ya, by elevating it I mean for the vents not to be blocked. So there is proper air flow to reduce temps/heat. When I have my M15x on my laptop board thingy when I'm in bed, the vents are blocked because the laptop is completely flat against the board (stock gpu temps on load = mid/high 80s). However if I place a book or something similar to elevate the laptop (vents are elevated about an inch), the temps don't even break 74c for the gpu which is overclocked to 725 core/1100 memory.
