This would be my first Alienware laptop...just wondering if AW refreshes the GPU on their current models often?
The m14x has been out since late April, I remember the m11x being refreshed 2 months after release cpu, then the gpu 2 months after that.
Can anyone offer me some advice on whether to wait or not?
I'm not exactly in a huge need for a laptop right now, and my only concern with the m14x is the GPU (i want to run diablo 3 when it comes out with mid-high settings).
There definitely isn't going to be a cpu refresh soon consider it's sandy bridge already, so I'm wondering if they'll throw on additional GPU options?

There will be a CPU refresh soon, the Sandy Bridge refresh is just around the corner (2860QM, 2760QM etc.), but I doubt that there will be a new GPU option for the M14x anytime soon.

The 555m should play Diablo 3 fine at mid-high settings at native resolution of the M14x.

2 months? It was like 2 months after the r1 or the much-needed cpu update, then like a year until the r3 lol.

The m14x really doesnt have much room to budge. Latest CPU, built around the 555M, really no other alternitives.

I suspect we wont see an update till Ive Bridge/NVIDIA 600/700 series, so it could be a year or more.
