    malfunctioned ac adapter

    so, my ac adapter malfunctioned and DELL is sending me a replacement.

    did not read any of the correspondence emails and only realized their is an instruction to return defective product.

    PROBLEM is, i already disposed of it as i did not want any trash laying around.

    will i get charged by DELL for the AC ADAPTER?

    FWIW, I did the same thing when my wife's Inspiron charger crapped out. I never heard from Dell again.

    you mean you did not mail them back the damaged charger and DELL did not charge you or get hold of you?
