    i have alienware m14x :
    corei7 2820qm and gt555

    i want to know :
    how much can i overclock cpu (in bios ) ?
    please tell me maximum range whitout crash my system

    please tell me about range my memory (1800) overclock.
    i set it to 1600 .

    1st question, do you really need to overclock it? install fraps run your games and check if any of them is running below of 30fps ... i got 80~100 on Black Ops here.

    I don't think it can be done. It's not an "unlocked" processor. In the desktop versions on sandy bridge, only the processors ending in "k" are overclockable, such as the core i7 2600k vs core i7 2600. So im guessing it's the same issue for notebooks.

    Hi - that's correct !

    You don't have any further possibilitys - just that settings in the Bios.
    Maybe there will be some tools like "setpll" that support this new 2nd-gen-i7 in future - but for now you cannot go any further!
