a tech came so he could replace my lcd lid, (because of the dust between the cover and the display) and it had a third cable! nether him or me knew what it was for, (i guess it was for the wi-hd, but didnt told him, what if he backed up and say no you didnt pay for that or whatever) he called dell, and they hang him 3 times haha, so he just assembled like that,

so guys whats the third cable for?? (crossing so it is for the wi-hd :D )

if so, where does it go?

my guess would be that it is an antenna for wihd or whatever it is called, but you need a card too, that is plugged into the slot next to the wifi card. So the antenna by itself would be worthless without the card.

That's the antenna for the wireless HD display, it's safe to leave it unconnected. A lot of people's replacement displays end up having it, even if their unit doesn't have the wireless HD part.

Yeah , its WiHD cable. Most of replacement display panels have those. On the brighter side, you already have the cable installed now, so in future if wihd chips rate go down, you can just buy and plug it in ;)
