[Alienware 17] Booting from mSATA SSD. WLAN doesn't work, HDDs aren't being detected by OS...

    Hey everyone,

I just installed Windows 8 Pro on my Alienware 17's 256GB mSATA SSD. I had to do some boot switching shenanigans to get it to work properly (something about disabling legacy boo, turning on AHCI, and switching to UEFI), and now I'm sitting pretty on a wicked fast 2-second boot time and other pretty jazz.

Unfortunately, my WiFi isn't working and I can't figure out why. In Device Manager, it shows up as "Network Adapter" with a yellow ! next to it. In the Taskbar, it's just a picture of a square with a red mark on it. I've tried installing the Killer1202 driver, but once it finishes, nothing changes.

Also, the HDDs that I've installed into the two drive bays (1x750GB,1x500GB) aren't appearing either. The BIOS detects them properly, but once I get into the OS, they don't show up, either in My Computer or in the Disk Management utility. If I take them out and connect them to USB via an enclosure, they work just fine.

    Any ideas? =(

Are they listed in computer management, type computer management in windows search. Then click storage, then disk management in the app.
