So i fried my Radeon HD 6970m today so i just bought an MSI GTX 780m. After alot of searching, that appears to be the best i can upgrade to. I just a few questions that i could not find answers to.

Is there anything i need to worry about ? (heat-sink, power supply, driver install, compatibility)

I could only find people posting about 3D or 120hz questions. :[

EDIT : DriverSweeper states " DDU detected that you have an AMD switching Laptop (Enduro or equaivalent) < Shouldnt be an issue correct ?

Where did you happen to buy this 780m? Can the Alienware M17 R3 take a 780m? How about using MSI vBios?

Well i don't have a 3D screen so I'm guessing i will have 0 issues. I don't understand the post about people with 120hz screens report issues, im sure i have a LGD02DA 60hz(i have seen another member with my screen with a 780m installed working).

Installed and works great ! Works WAY better then my 6970m(OC).

Only thing is COD : Black Ops 2 doesn't work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game to no luck. <-- Anyone have any thoughts ?

All other games work AMAZING even on ULTRA settings :D

What do you mean by doesn't work? As in do you lag when playing it? Its probably due to Optimus.. make sure that your NVIDIA GPU is being used by the game in the NVIDIA Optimus control pannel settings..

Good job. What's you have now is a really great machine. Congratulations on the GPU upgrade. I think what you have now is better than a brand new Alienware 17.

Drop a 2960XM in there (if you don't already have one) and your old machine should get you by for at least a couple more years.

COD:BO2 is crashing? Try renaming the folder that has your saved games and config profiles. This often happens to me after GPU upgrade because the game is configured for a different GPU. Once you get the game to stop crashing you can copy the saved games over and delete the original folder.

The 2960XM will be my next upgrade :D ... Ok so about Black Ops 2 not working i figured it out. Yes i am on the latest Nvidia drivers the one that just came out a few days ago. But what the issue was, in order to play Black Ops 2 i have to disable Integrated HD Audio, But because i have to do that i have to use a USB audio device(I already do (Bose Surround System) but i do not have a mic. Is there a way to force Black Ops 2 to not use Nvidia and Integrated Audio at the same time ? Odd thing is, is that all other games work perfectly.

EDIT: If anyone have the 780m OC Edition bios please post them, that stupid technoinferno post thing is really stupid and takes forever.
