I am desperately looking for Dell's A00 version of the 5870M vBIOS so I can do some comparison/detective work between A00 and A01 that fixed the colors for the M17x and broke them for the M15x. If anybody has this vBIOS, please send it over to me! The hope is to try and understand what Dell did between these two vBIOS versions that fixed colors for the m17x and broke them on the m15x. Why? The 970M/980M behave exactly the same way as the 5870M did in M15x/M17x R1/2 on bios A00, and I will be trying to apply Dell's fix to the 980M vBIOS to get it working in the M17x R2.

I wonder, does the Firepro M7820 have the same colour issue? Or has nobody tested it.

The 5850M does, but I would have liked the 5870M A00 vs A01 instead of comparing the 5850 to the 5870 A01 to help reduce any confounding /extra elements

I'll keep looking on other forums and see if I can find it. Can't promise anything though as it seems most people have updated it.

    FOUND! Courtsey of @maxslo

The work will commence shortly....hope I can come up with something meaningful. The fact that one vBIOS broke the M15x and fixed the M17x, with the EXACT same color corruption problem as the 980M, I'm hoping the vBIOS can give me some clues.

Nice one. Good luck with the 980M. Would be pretty nice to see one of those working in the R2.

It posts and works fine on external display without any modification, it's the internal display that's the problem.

I think I've bitten off more than I can chew here....seems every line of code in A01 changed from A00...no way to conduct a real analysis here, I have none of the documentation and I'm just fishing in the dark here. I'm sure it's a stupid simple value somewhere in the vBIOS, I'm hoping @Prema might be inclined to contribute to this project.
