Anyone got a full SPI dump for Alienware 17 Ranger? Need all regions not just BIOS region.
Need to compare it to the data on my chip to figure what is corrupt.

Are you trying to fix your descriptors and ME region? Usually you can configure with Intel FITC tool and export to reflash.

I have a M15x full dump but had to de-solder the SPI

    Hi,

If you download a copy of the unlocked A14+ bios you should find thats all regions. There will of course be differences because of the unlock / service tag difference but hopefully enough to get you sorted.

    Would a R4 dump work?

Why not read out the current data as a backup, erase the chip and write a clean binary? An SPI dump will differ from system to system anyway, so you're always going to find some differences.

Here's a good image of an A14+ME you can flash, assuming it's a single 64Mbit eeprom on your mb revision:
    Alienware 17 - bios A14.7z

Thanks you. I'll have a look as soon as I can get around to it.

    t456 maybe you have EC(EC is in KB9012QF) dump "U2" 1mb?
    U2 has RGB led control.

    Ok, this is also A14:
Alienware 17 - bios, me and ec A14.7z

If you need another version then just let me know. If you use an '@' before the username then that user will get a separate alert, even if he/she hasn't subscribed to the thread.
