Exactly as title says. I can change the colors of the LEDs on all the rest of my R3. I know the head on the lid is supposed to stay white, but i'm talking about the little alien head power button.

At first i thought it was supposed to stay red since thats the color i ordered it to be on, but i noticed while playing with alien fx that zone 1 is supposed to change the color of that button. No matter what color i set it to, it's always red.

Also the lights in the eyes of that head keep flashing at all times. Is this supposed to happen as well?

If i recall, zone two changes the colours of your on/off button...zone one changes the colour of the Alienhead on the back of the lid (both have to be the same from recollection).....least thats how it is on my R2 AlienFX.

The lights will flash to indicate HDD activity, I would wait a while, see if they stop...it wouldnt be normal for them to be flashing at all times unless your doing something which measn there is activity. They will flash rapidly if there is something going on....they will falsh periodically every few seconds at rest.

normally you have to set 2 colors for the head. one for fully charged and plugged in, and the other for charging/ battery power.

alien eye flashing is when your system is accessing your hdd.

Yes it doesnt matter what i set the two colors to because its always red when plugged in. When not plugged in its orange or whatever i set it to.

Also the head on the lid cant be changed on this one. There is no zone for it. Its always whtie.

the head on the lid is tied to the power button. can't change them individually.

Don't know if it fixes your issue but theRe is already an update/fix for this alien command center on the Dell support site for the r3 dated yesterday.

Taking a stab in the dark here. Have you tried opening a completely new profile and seeing if the Alien head responds to that?

After many searches, this is the only post the resembles my problem. I had my order shipped factory blue, and for some reason I can not change the alien head by my keyboard to anything other then the blue it was shipped as. It even resets back to factory blue randomly when I shut the laptop off and restart. Any help would be appreciated since dell technical support is completely clueless. I already had a speaker issue and had to fix it on my own after 3 hours with a dell idiot that hung up on me. Like I said thanks agian!!! Oh and yes i have uninstalled and reinstalled the alien command center along with all factory shipped theme settings

Open a brand new theme, configure it how you want it, and then apply it.
