Yes that's the deal . I've just open up to clean the machine . After assembling, I hit the power button and got the 1 long beep , 2 short beep and the screen stay off. But then after some time , I heard the windows is still booting. Is my GPU completely fried yet . Can someone help me ?

    My spec are Qx9300 , GTX280M

If you did it right, there should not be any problem.

I would suggest that you disassemble again and literally one by one carefully reassemble. You will be surprised how often people forget to connect ribbon cables, especially for keyboard. I just saw a thread in which techs were also messing it up.

Also, I think that if you have completely faulty gpu, it should give you straight up error codes (caps, num lock, etc)
