    10.6 driver problem

    hey guys, i was trying to update to 10.6 i go through all the normal install things with CCC adn then when it actually gets to the last bit it starts installing the bam it says its done in like 20 sec but then thats it nothing no reboot, i restart manually n still 8.6 is there. it also says check logs but there was nothing in logs ??? i have read there is know issues with 10.6 shud i just find 10.5 and use them. only real reason i want to update is bfbc2 load times pissing me up the walll

    Funny, because I had a similar experience when I attempted upgrading to 10.6 from ATI/AMD's website. Once installed, I looked at my software information page in CCC, and nowhere did I see 10.6 (or 10.anything as a matter of fact). I do recall seeing 8.somethings, and thought, how confusing to have a 10.6 driver and have the actual version numbers be something else.

    Could someone with 10.6 post a screenshot of their CCC software information page that shows all the version numbers, just to compare?

    i had 10.6 installed but then removed it as i noticed that 10.3 and 10.5 perform better in games and overall stability.
    to intall those on a 4870s is just a matter of going to the configuration directory of the installation and changing the workaroundinstall from false to true in only .CFG file there.
