Has anyone successfully updated their display drivers from the stock ones to 11.2? I tried it using the correct method, but it said it couldn't recognize my GPU after I removed all traces of the previous drivers...

This is starting to look more like Dell may be using the "proprietary drivers" situation with the GPU's in the R3. The beta driver at Nvidia that was released after the R3 didn't have the id strings in it and you guys can't install AMD drivers. :( If 1-2 more releases come out that don't support our cards I guess we'll know.

That's weird. It worked for me in my R2 + Single 6970M which I flashed with the Dell VBIOS. And this is the Mobility 11.2 right? Also, does 11.4 Mobility Modded drivers work for you guys?

I am thinking some modded drivers may work or maybe dell will update the vbios of the card just like they had done for the R2.

Pretty sure you don't want to leave traces of the old driver when installing a new one. But hey, let me know if it works.

It is recommended you uninstall the last ones to prevent future issues but it isn't absolutely needed. I've been installing drivers for years (as have tons of other people) and I'll only do a wipe if a problem appears.

If you're installing over the stock drivers, take a note of your driver version before and after the install. You may find that you're still using the Dell driver, even though the CCC and other bits of software are updated.

He may use ATIflash to flash the bios on the R2 but on the R3 the ATIflash says no adapter found when you type any command

I used RBE 1.28 coupled with ATiWinflash and flashed it through RBE. I'll admit that I much prefer the DOS Atiflash method, but I've flashed it with this new setup about 6 or 7 times with no problems. It's quicker too from the last time I've tried Winflash.

Under factory setting, when I right click on the desktop, there's an option call Graphic Properties on top of the list. That same option leads to different graphic card controller with IGP and GPU.
In other words, if I am using IGP, that leads to the Intel IGP control windows.
On the other hand, if I am using GPU, that leads to CCC 11.2
Is that part of the driver or AW software?
