    130W power adapter for mx17 R2?

    Is 130W power adapter enough for Mx17 R2 with single 5780m and i7 920XM?

    55watt tdp for that processor
    50 watt for the 5870m..
    thats a 105 watt already

    i CAN work, but really depends on the quality of the psu u are using..
    for instance.. a 240watt psu can run between 200 and 300 watt (300 watt if u have a good one.. 200 if u have a bad one, luck of the draw)

    i do not recommend u using a 130watt psu with that system

    Theoretically yes, but it is really cutting it close, plus you have the LCD, other components, USB ports if they are charging something. I think with the Extreme processors or dual video card option automatically Alienware will ship you with a 240W PSU. You should be okay with the 150W Flextronics adapter. I think the Dell Precision 180W would work too, and a 200W too.
