    my question:
is there a way i can adjust the color on my screen to be more accurate? i am wondering how i would go about downloading a color profile, or making/tweaking the color on screen myself.

    i have a 17r3 purchased last year. it has the 1920 x 1080 display.
build sheet says "LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY, 17.3FHD, FLAT, AG, EDP1.2, LEGEND"

i'm fairly good at learning these things, but i'm VERY confused and need to be pointed in the right direction. i just don't know where to start.

    why i'm bothering:
i spent ALL day yesterday trying to get the colors on my screen to print accurately on my printer... i was changing settings in coreldraw and in roland versaworks.....only to find the colors on my girlfriends MSI gaming notebook screen are far more accurate. so ultimately the problem will be solved by calibrating my screen.

"printer" is a bit of an understatement. with the help of my mother, my girlfriend, and a paid electrician, i have gutted our basement, cut up 90 2 x 4's, 34 sheets of drywall, and 19 boxes of flooring. I built a room for a large format digital printer and laminator. my sign shop is too dusty/hot/cold/humid/windy for the machine. it prints amazing color and photos. currently if i draw a sign, i'm forced to select colors from a Pantone chart. if in corel i make a red white and blue sign, when i print it, i get an orange-ish red, white, and purple-ish blue sign. if i choose color numbers in corel it prints great, but then i'm looking at a pinkish red, white, and greenish blue sign on screen. it's making me crazy.

alternatively i could buy a separate monitor that has more accurate color.

    please help.

pics of my new room if anyone cares.

in case anyone else decides to fix screen color, they have devices that create custom monitor profiles. they go from $90 - $500. i bought this one: http://www.xrite.com/categories/calibration-profiling/colormunki-display

most people probably already knew this, but it was news to me.

i also sent the 17r3 in for warranty service because the screen has a weird blue area. currently using my m17xr2 instead. the color is MUCH better on the older 17
