So as I wait for my new Sager, I've gotten ahold of a 980m deal from parts-people.com for a 980m for only $499. I was gonna sell my r4, but my son is 8 now and he's been looking forward to seeing my 1070 as well. So I'm gonna surprise him and turn the 17x into a gaming system for him on his 9th birthday on nov 20th and put in a better card so he can game with his dad!
Can someone point me in the right direction for doing this properly?
I see different guides, but in your alls opinion, which an easy guide to follow and put in properly?
And should I get a better psu for it?
It's got almost a 2 year warranty left, so I think it'll last him a couple years with games graphic wise.
Thanks!

Just a little side question out of curiousity......What kind of games are your 8 years old playing?? My son on 8 mostly play Minecraft and small games directly from the browser......but he have also played some Diablo 3.........But i havent really introduced him to that many games yet, as im not sure he is old enough yet.

Oh I'll let him play anything besides overtly sexual games like GTA, Witcher 3, etc.
But as of now he likes to play overwatch, minecraft, and the new doom.
I'm not too much on censorship of language, or violence because those he's exposed to on the media all day everyday. -
Cool, me and the misses do not totally agree on what is okay for our son to play, but he have told me he would like to try Overwatch, which i think will be okay.
