Hi, I know there was a thread about this a while ago, but I lost it :(

Is there any way to install a 1tb HDD in the second hdd bay? I would really like to have the max amount of space possible for media and stuff.

I see a few laptop HDDs that are 1tb on newegg. They are only 5400rpm, but that really doesnt matter to me.

    Newegg.com - Computer Hardware,Hard Drives,Laptop Hard Drives,1TB

Would any of these work? Thanks guys

Btw this is for the m17x r3

That is 12.5mm unlike most 2.5in drive which are 9mm.

From all the info I recived the answer is no. I wanted to do the same as well so I understand you.

Also seems very likely that a 1tb hard drive 9mm would come out this year by samsung. So something to wait for I guess. If you really need space then the best you can get right now is 750gb.

These drives are 12.5mm thick, so no not able to fit in the R3.
