As an example, when you download a driver from Dell for the AW 17 for Windows 7 Pro 64bit I get two options for almost every driver.

Lets use Realtek Card Reader Driver as an example. I'm given two options:

File Format: Hard-Drive Download File Download File
Add To My Download List Add to My Downloads List151
    File Name: CardReader_Realtek_W74W84_X04_A00_Setup-061JP_ZPE.exe
Description: This file contains a compressed (or zipped) set of files. Download the file to a folder on your hard drive, and then run (double-click) it to unzip the set of files. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.
    Download Type: HTTP
    File Size: 11MB

    OR

File Format: Update Package for Microsoft® Windows® Download File Download File
Add To My Download List Add to My Downloads List151
    File Name: Chipset_Driver_061JP_WN_6.2.9200.28134_A00.EXE
Description: Dell Update Packages in Microsoft Windows 32-bit format can be deployed on Microsoft 64-bit operating systems by implementing the WOW64 emulation applications. WOW64 is a standard feature on most Microsoft operating systems.
    Download Type: HTTP
    File Size: 17MB

So which one do I use? Both?

Some of them you don't need. You could try both and if your PC doesn't support it, it should deny you the ability to install.

Thats the funny thing, I can install both, not sure which is which. Like the wireless driver iteself didn't work, but when I installed the Dell Microsoft Update version, it took. Can one of the AW folks chime in on this please

Dell recommended me to install ZPE.exe files and then run (double-click) :hi2:

We recommend to use the DELL version unless it does not install. In that case you may download the Microsoft version of the driver.
