    i have been hit w/ ransomeware, and need to reflash bios w/ d0d 3 pass wipe...

    did they flash my bios b/c i'm showing an "american megatrends" bios...

    how do i select it to get to usb boot? hit f12 then...? i see winboot, then ip4 then ip6...i don't see a usb option...total n00b, ty.

    anyone know of a free ver. that'll let me d0d 3 pass wipe...i see killdisk out there...gonna pay the $50. ty.

    F12 is for one time boot on Dell type machines generally. F2 is usually the actual BIOS where you can enable/disable boot medium (generally) on Dell machines.

    Also this is the wrong sub-forum. This is for Alienware up to 2013, 2013+ has its own sub-forum
