    NVIDIA DRIVERS 275.50 BETA ... still needed a hacked nvdm.inf to install onto my R1, which I have attached if anyone would like it

    Hopefully nVidia will fix this issue come the release

    Hi.

    I tried to upgrade my drivers using your nvdm.inf file, but the installation program says my video card is not compatible with them.

    I have an M17x R3, with the stupid Optimus stuff. Do you think that is the issue?

    I have been trying to make this game (FFXI) work with the NVidia video card for almost a week now, with no luck :(.

    Did you rename his attachment to nvdm.inf from nvdm.inf.txt and stick in the DisplayDriver folder? If you didn't do both, you probably didn't get asked to replace the .inf file and are still using the original.

    Yup, I did. I also verified that nvdm.inf had info from my video card and run the installer from the "International" directory, setup.exe

    Info seems to be there, regardless:

    Code:
    NVIDIA_DEV.0DD1.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M"
    NVIDIA_DEV.0DD1.03 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M  "
    NVIDIA_DEV.0DD1.04 = "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460M   "

    Will try the other thread immediatly, anyway.

    Thanks for the info! :D

    Yeah sorry, my file was specific to my R1 with 280M GPUs, but all I did was copy in the missing device IDs from the last working .inf (275.30 beta I think) into the broken one. It's easy enough to do as long as you don't miss any lines.

    I wouldn't worry about it - try the newly released 280.19beta as that seems to have fixed the issue with not installing, at least it did for mine.
