    Hello,

Had a lot of problems with my lovely R1 in the last couple of weeks (see my last 2 threads)

So now I enabled my SLI, and ran the Multi-Gpu Furmark. The weird things were that I had about 4 FPS on 1280 x4 AA, and it kind of affected the thremal graph. The temperatures did not even bother to change a degree from 53 C. So It looks like they are being some kind of limited by some controller or something.

By the way, after I had my optical drive changed, my wrist rest area before the keyboard (the area on the left from the touchpad), does not look anything like properly closed. Like bent and not clicked on the rubber thingy there.

Looking forward to your brilliant answers.

Actually a little correction. I just tried it again and the temps started rising, but I still got an average on 7 fps. I guess it should be like muuuuuch higher.

Takes some time to come up with answers sometimes ;). First off, make sure you're not in Stealth Mode (download Stealth Mode Indicator, search is your friend) then make sure you're running with the dedicated cards available (hyrbid mode or with integrated card turned off).

As for the case being popped weird by the keyboard it sound like your tech re-assembled it wrong. I had the same issue, and it's actually understandable as when re-assembling the casing/components on the right side there is a certain order that has to be followed with both stacking the components and screwing them in. If they're put together wrong, that part of the case is not going to sit right, hence looking bent out. You may want to call support and get the tech sent back out to fix that ASAP it could also be putting stress on the components causing damage eventually.

That is the weird thing. I can see the two green triangles in the bottom of the screen. The ones that are telling me SLI is enabled. I am bringing it to the tech support tomorrow, might just upgrade the cards to 295 (or which SLI ones are available ATM?)

They'll close the lid as well I hope. I wonder whether I should upgrade it to i720?

    The R1 won't support the i720... you'd have to upgrade to an R2 :p

Also to add to turmoil I don't think that the 285's will work in the R1. not 100% on that one though.
