I have a fairly new ( 2 weeks old ) M17x R3, Is there a way to enable turbo mode or something because my 2820QM is stopping at 2.3 Ghz even under full load. Am I missing something, i though it was suppose to go up to 3.4 Ghz? Help!

I think ( but i'm not so sure) that the turbo is used when in an application that doesn't support multicore so you can get better performance with a single core on turbo.

Are you sure that Turbo is enabled in your BIOS? On the M17x, Turbo Boost will kick up the 2820QM up to 3.3 GHz.

Did you disable it with an SSD registry tweak?
