In some way I do wish I would have kept my R1 (kicking myself  ) cause I knew someday that the gpu's could be upgraded further! I am glad that someone (One_J) took it that far as to see if it was possible, plus rep +1 congrats man!

thanks a lot! I am glad we were all able to find out.

everytime I looked at that card in an article, it always kept me wondering.

though, I confess starting to regret it after I bought the cards online, cause if it wasn't gonna work I would have had to return them and pay 20% restocking fee. :(

I'm glad it all turned out for the best :)

    thanks,

I felt the same way after viewing the cards (I know there's a way for them cards to work!) but I never had the nerve to try it out since I'm such a noob lol!! I don't blame you for sweatin the restocking fee as I think anyone would have just damn glad you got them to work man. Funny, (probably not true but) I think after everyone saw that you got the cards to work (even Dell/Alienware?) the R1 actually got put back on the website, go figure?

I thought you were kidding, but it's truem the M17x-R1 is back on Alianware's site.

but only with 260m SLI. I wish they would release a new BIOS with full support for the 285m and Hybrid graphics.

I would love to have this whenever I screw up video BIOS flashing. it makes things so much easier.
