Anyone know if the 2920xm will work in the R3 or does it need something to be installed for it to work?

    Thanks

It'll work, noone knows if the BIOS options for the multipliers get enabled or not though...

If they don't no reason at all to have a 2920xm, if they do, go for it...

Only person I know of is Geoffxx and he hasn't received his yet.

Yeah I want him to get his laptop so I know if I should get the 2920xm.

Anyone know the difference on ebay between the 2920xms. There is one listed for $888 but the others are listed at a min of $1199. Here is the link. Are they all the same? Thanks.

the $888 are es versions and the $1199 is the oem version. but essentially they are the same but oem has warranty.

i don't get why these ES cpus are soo expensive. I would have thought they would have been around 500, like the QX9300 was when its ES version came out.

    ES samples are technically free...

ES samples are GIVEN away from Intel for people to play around with, one guy charges a price and everyone else follows, unfortunately :(
