This might be a bad question, but I need to install a second hard drive in my M17x. It has the caddy I need for it but I cant help but wonder that I am missing a part. All that is there is a caddy is there any other parts I need to install a second Hard drive?

There should be an interposer as well...essentially a little adapter that plugs into the HDD. I've heard that it's attached to the foam insert along with the screws (although I had to order mine serperately as the bracket was not included)

    Have a look here.

If you remove the caddy, there should be a foam insert which contains the interposer and screws. If this is missing, call Dell tech support and they will ship you the missing bits.
