Hi all. I am looking to upgrade from my 3 year old M17x. Spec below:

    INTEL CORE 2 EXTREME QX9300
    4096MB (2X2048) 1333MHZ DDR3
    SLI DUAL 1GB GDDR3 NVIDIA GTX 260M

I am thinking about getting the new Alienware X51 as it seems to be a very reasonable price and still quite portable. However I am not sure if it would give me that much improvement in performance? I use the PC mainly for online gaming.

Would really appreciate some feedback. Spec for the X51 is below

    Intel® Core™ i7-3770 (3.40GHz, 8MB L3 Cache, 4C)
    8192MB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory
    1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 555

    Thanks for help!!
