It is a seagate momentus slim. It is ok, but not that fantastic. It has a seq read speed of 84-85 mb/s according to crystalmark

It'll be either a Seagate with momentus of 7200 or Samsung also 7200.
    I had a Seagate and it's a good HDD for a magnetic .

    I am thinking of a 80GB SSD and a 5400rpm 1TB for my setup...

    Caviar black is for desktops.
You should get either Scorpio Black or Momentus XT (Hybrid)

    They don't make 1TB is 7200 though... :(

Its not like I am going to be placing my regular programs on it.. It would strictly be for storage anyways...

My 700GB external is almost full...lol

    There's no 1Tb 2.5" HDD @7200 rpm yet.
And they're great at 5200-5400 for data storage. I have one Scorpio blue in each of my m17x.

A good 'investment' would be a SSD (windows, apps, games you run frequently) and a large magnetic for storage. Raid it's just not worth the risks for daily use .

    +1

What is a good size though?

I really will only be playing WoW, and some programs totaling up to be around 3GB though WoW racks up ALOT of space... maybe even an 80GB SSD is to big for my needs...

yeah i guess a small SSD would be good....im only using vista now, how much does windows 7 set aside for its own use? i mean if someone gets a 80gb SSD how much will actually be left over after windows 7 is installed?

It all depends on what you're using frequently .
My wife is just fine with a 40Gb but she's not playing our. games :p
I think you'll be just fine with a 80-120Gb, remember also that you should not fill up a SSD if you don't want some performance loss.

Well my W7 Professional looks to be taking up about 9GB maybe more... but I am going to be getting W7 Ultimate 64bit but that take sup to 20GB...

Quote from newegg's W7 Ultimate Description(also looked at all other W7 OS's and they all require the same amount of space)
