Wondering what everyone else is seeing for idle temps. I am getting around 50 to 55 degrees Celsius.

That's normal, no need to worry about those temps... How are they during gaming sessions?

Hmm i never reached 92 when i had it . Though i never ran 06 i ran Vantage and 3dmark 11 plenty of times and even with the stage 3 overclocking i think the highest temp i saw was 88 or 89 on the hottest core.

You can always just loosen and re tighten the screws a little without repasting since they are so easily accessible. See if that helps improve your temps. It has MX-4 on it now.

The 3840qm is a hot CPU and it would be hot even with a 3pipe heatsink in the M18x.

I also always ran the machine elevated in the back and never using a cooler.

    I'd probably re-paste if I was seeing 90°C+.

That sounds more like it, I use it on a flat wooden surface with nothing to elevate the back and it never gets above 78-82 while gaming.
